Description: Loan Processor, HELOC, CUDL, HYLS, NMLS

Responsible for the promotion of credit union products and services
• Assist with daily member inquiries, including, but not limited to, savings rates, loan rates, MasterCard accounts, and account inquiries
• Answer member inquiries regarding credit union loan programs, policies and procedures
• Originate loan applications for all consumer loan products and HELOC loans
• Prepare member correspondence relating to loan applications, as needed; including, but not limited to, pre-approval letters and HELOC Good Faith Estimates
• Discuss available programs with member and work with member to determine best loan program for each individual member for submission to a loan officer
• Calculate and review the HYLS recommendation for each loan
• Review and make approval, counter-offer or denial recommendations for each loan
• Follow-up on each loan with member and loan officer until a final decision has been reached
• When loans are declined, work with member to explain reason for decline and offer suggestions for improvement that would still help improve the members financial position and standing
• Submit all loan requests in a timely manner consistent with the organization’s service objectives
• May use credit union defined matrix to offer preliminary loan approval
• Interface with loan officer on behalf of members
• Follow-up and advise members of loan decisions
• Insure the completeness and accuracy of all documents received
• Monitor incoming loan applications from all channels and work with members to facilitate their loan transaction from origination through to funding in a timely manner that meets the Credit Union’s service objectives
• Process approved loan applications for all consumer loan products, in all loan channels; including, but not limited to, online, in branch or CUDL
• Follow-up on CUDL loan decisions and update loan status in the CUDL system, as directed
• Interface with dealers for member in branch, online or CUDL loans, as needed
• Review all funding documentation for compliance with credit union policies and procedures
• Prepare all signed member documents and supporting documents for imaging and retention
• Participate in internal or external audits of loan files, as needed
• May assist with HELOC origination and/or HELOC funding
• Review all approved MasterCard applications daily
• Issue approved MasterCards to the card origination system
• Issue balance transfer checks, as requested, for all MasterCard products
• May function as a loan interviewer, as assigned
• Perform clerical functions to include computer input and typing of designated forms
• Review and process incoming member communication; including but not limited to, voice mail, U.S. mail, and email
• Supports management in attaining organizational goals and objectives
• Participate in department and organization meetings as directed
• Provide support in various areas as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Hours given as M-F, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, location: Gardena, CA 90248

• Two years’ experience within a financial institution with demonstrated success in a sales environment.
• Advanced knowledge of teller functions, new accounts, member service, and loan products.
• Ability to assist members with all credit union products and services.
• Effective organizational and communication skills, with an emphasis on positive member communication.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Docusign and the loan origination system.
• Candidate must have background in consumer loan processor, not mortgage loan processing.

Must have a high school diploma or a GED from an accredited institution. Requires NMLS Registration.
