Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a for Production Test Technician - Level 1 for an opening in Manassas, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units, developmental or prototype requirements in product development, manufacturing engineering or preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited. Builds and populates electronics enclosure cabinets, routes cables, preforms pressure tests, fills in as-built-list (ABL) templates, conducts continuity checks, preps units for customer delivery, and assists with customer and quality inspections. Works from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental and production assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. Operates related equipment - torque wrenches, small hand tools, hand trucks, pressure test station, pull test equipment, etc. Uses Loctite and other compounds and solutions. Responsible for accurate record keeping, time recording, and safety training. Uses computer to access work instructions, log discrepancies/issues, log time, enter ABL information, and communicate via email.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Strong work ethic and prompt arrival. Organization and strong communications skills. Proficiency with small hand tools - strong mechanical sense. Physical ability to work standing or sitting and occasionally crouching/kneeling to access interior of units. Computer proficiency in windows/word/web based applications. Ability to pass eye test (with or without corrective lenses) with vision of 20/40 or better.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience building COTS based electronics cabinets. Solder certification or training. Active DoD Secret Clearance. Experience with ARCI or VA Class Sonar Programs. Navy experience

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Flex 9/80 A: (Autotime System) with occasional voluntary paid overtime during the week or on weekends. Core schedule of either 7AM-4:30PM, 7:30AM-5 PM, 8AM-5:30PM, or 8:30AM-6PM.
