Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Chief Accountant for an opening in Cypress, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide a full financial accounting service including control over and maintenance of all ledgers in particular: general ledger, purchasing accounting records, cash book and manufacturing records
-Provide a comprehensive efficient banking service ensuring robust internal controls and
up to date systems.
-Timely preparation of monthly management accounts including Shared Services operating costs and commentary.
-Use financial modeling to simulate financial scenarios -Reconcile all cash receipts
-Work with the Performance Manager on efficiency and benchmarking issues including preparation of annual Budget and other statistical returns
-Promote continuous improvement both internally within own team and externally across the sites
-Lead and manage both the financial and management accounting teams ensuring staff are developed and communication is open and clear.
-Responsible for helping the organization reach the goals of our mission statement
-As a member of the Management Team play n pro-active role in the wider management of the corporation and its subsidiaries
-Perform the end of the monthly accounting reconciliations
-Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
-Group reporting consolidation
-Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.
-Performs under only general supervision work along specialized or technical lines requiring special knowledge.
-Executes under only general supervision special assignments and tasks.
General Duties:
-All employees have an affirmative duty to protect and maintain the confidentiality of the C&D products.
-All employees are required to productively react to change and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
A candidate must have experience in financial reporting systems
The candidate must have data entry skills and experience with Windows based operating systems (R)
Along with excellent communications skills, a candidate must have good problem solving and follow-up skills (R)
A candidate must be able to work for periods of time without direct supervision (R )
The candidate should be well organized and have good record keeping skills (R)
Education: AA or Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA is a plus
Experience: 5+ years of experience in finance Accounting / Controlling
Computer Skill: Microsoft Office and Windows operating system.
Other Skills: Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate, written and verbal communication skills.
Description: Intermediate/Professional level.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Working Conditions:
1.Does require fluent communication in English language.
2.Employment Status may be part-time, full-time, or temporary.
3.Traveling is may be required.
4.Protracted or irregular hours may be required.
5.Relocation to another C&D facility may be required.

HARD REQUIREMENTS *MUST SHOW ON RESUME:
-Experience performing similar responsibilities to those of a CPA.
-Manufacturing background
-Strong leadership/management skills.
-Must have managed staff members recently. (Position will include dealing with all levels of personnel).

EDUCATION:
AA or Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA is a plus
