RESPONSIBILITIES:
Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a User Interface (UI) Designer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicants will become part of Northrop Grumman's Postal Service Program. We are looking for a talented UI Designer to develop rich user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior user interface design skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into engaging, intuitive, and functional designs.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development team to implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.
Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
Create mock-ups, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.
Design and develop new interfaces for users.
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
This position will be located in St. Louis MO.
Prefer local candidates for face to face interviews.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5 years applicable experience and a Bachelor's Degree.
Proven UI experience.
Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio.
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with front-end frameworks (such as Bootstrap and/or Foundation).
Experience with jQuery and hands-on CSS style sheet development preferred.
Experience with Content Management Systems, preferably TeamSite.
Knowledgeable of HTML, Section 508 compliance and front-end best practices.
Ability to communicate well with the customer while translating requests into functional and successful web products.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required. BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related.

HOURS:
5/40 workweek
