This position in the Compliance and Quality Management office in Supply Chain Procurement (SCP) is critical in supporting the management of the Purchasing Business System for the company.
Roles and responsibilities include auditing of procurement documents to ensure purchasing system compliance in accordance with applicable procedures; management and development of policies and procedures that impact the Purchasing Business System; management and reporting of monthly metrics and compliance reports; meeting with procurement managers and their teams regularly to support resolution of compliance efforts; and substantial customer interaction, both internally and externally to include DCAA and SOS.
This position is critical to enable the appropriate oversight/management of purchasing system compliance to be successful in maintaining the company's Certified Purchasing System (CPSR).
Sources and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare bid packages.

Liaison: Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. May develop and deliver presentations.

Bachelors in related field and 6 years of relevant professional experience. 4 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.
This position requires government procurement experience and a solid knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
