RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lays out, fabricates and assembles a variety of standard and nonstandard major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master tooling gauges, and related tooling involving compound angels and complex contours where the establishment and coordination to exacting tolerances of numerous tooling holes and reference points between several planes are required. Plans work to be performed and determines methods and sequence of operations working from tool design drawings or own designs. Sets up and operates optical instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies. Develops and designs holding devices and jig and fixture details. Prepares operational sequences and shop drawings covering parts fabrication and assembly to be performed by others. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Knowledge: Little or no knowledge of the job. Moderate understanding of general job aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
Supervision Given and Received: Immediate supervision involving detailed verbal and written instructions. Frequent review of work performance. Close supervision involving detailed instructions and constant checking on work performance.
Typical Duties and Tasks: Duties & tasks are simple and repetitive. Assists more senior staff members with routine tasks. Refers questions and problems to higher levels.
Consequence of Errors: Errors can be easily and quickly detected within the immediate work unit and would result only in minor disruption or expense to correct.
Contacts: Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information requiring little explanation or interpretation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High School and 4 years relevant experience.
JIG Builder and Machinist Background.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be able to work in and promote a team environment and promote a team paradigm.
Candidate must be able to work off of high ladders and portable platforms, perform heavy lifting, and capable of standing for long periods of time.
Candidate must possess good communication and email skills with the ability to document work performed or explain job delays.
Strong desire to work efficiently while working safely.
Experienced with the following Microsoft applications; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Candidate will be required to work or support any shift as well as overtime as necessary to support the product.


EDUCATION:
High School degree.

HOURS:
4/10 workweek

Preferred Qualifications:
Tooling experience and Aircraft Structures training are desirable.
Experienced with Verisurf and LASER trackers are a plus
.Experience with fabrication hand tools is a plus along with some experience with saws, drill, mill and lathe also being a plus.
