Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Employee Engagement Support Technician for an opening in Bingen, WA

Owns the new employee engagement training and on-boarding process from an IT perspective. Responsible inventory control of laptops for new employees to IT orientation training and following up with the users for feedback.

• New employee computer inventory control
• Monitors, new hire requests and maintains adequate hardware levels based on HR hiring reports (2hrs)
• Review HR reports for requested hardware
• Inventory control of computer hardware and peripherals (headsets, keyboard, mice, etc.)

• Manages new employee requests
• Engages with managers to validate hardware and software required for position (8hrs)
•Contacting managers to complete new hire request form
• Tracking new hire lists

•Engages with managers and facilities on new employee seating location (2hrs)
• Collaborating with facilities and managers on cube location and required hardware

•Hardware Imaging and Setup
•Images and prepares hardware for new employee (10hrs)
•Unboxing and asset inventory process
•Imaging process
•Job specific software install
•QA image
•Last minute updates

•Sets up peripheral hardware in new employee work area (5hrs)
• Hardware logistics between buildings
• Hardware setup
• Cleanup (dealing with cardboard recycling)

• New employee account creation
• Creates AD accounts along with required security groups and access based on new employee title (2hrs)

• New Employee Training
• Conducts new employee orientation training (3hrs)

• New Employee Follow up
• Day 4 Follow up - Engages with new employees and their managers to ensure required software is installed and training courses and questions are completed and answered by day 4 (4hrs)
• Day 14 Follow up - Engages with new employees on day 14 for follow up Q & A and training feedback (4hrs)

• Works effectively and cooperatively with others; establishes and maintains good working relationships.
• Knowledge of IT standards for the company, operating group, division, and specific organization.
• Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; develops and sustains productive customer relationships.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications).
• Knowledge of different IT disciplines (e.g., infrastructure, information, application, security, system management, system integration).
• Knowledge of integrated computer systems and associated peripherals to include printers, media storage, and interface cards. Demonstrates the ability to perform data back up and restoration, diagnostics, configuration control and problem solving of the system.
• Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the organization, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans and anticipate future events.
• Ability to instruct others on discipline specific operations, tasks or systems.
• Training/teaching experience

•1 or more years of related experience with an Accredited Associates degree preferred.
