Serves as liaison between commodity offices and internal and external customers in support of Fleet Support hulls. Reports program/project status to commodity offices in support of improving and mitigating material availability for future Key Events. Position may support complex products, high-dollar value, and/or high-volume procurements that require a great deal of oversight and risk management. Sources and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare bid packages.

Must have 3 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters.
Effective communication skills are critical for networking, coordination, and team work to meet strict quality, delivery, and cost deadlines that impact the entire value stream.
Candidate should have global knowledge through experience/education in tactical supply chain operations and applying analytical skills.
Previous DoD procurement experience and technical background are a plus.
Exposure and/or experience in other areas of the supply chain value stream are a plus.

Bachelor's or Master's is required.
