Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Purchase Price Cost Analyst 5 for an opening in Madison, MS.

• Analyzes data and supplier proposals to determine fair and reasonable pricing as well as compliance with US Government pricing regulations.
• Conducts fact-finding as needed to review basis of estimates and source documentation verifying proposal cost estimates.
• Reviews technical analyses and audit reports to assist in the evaluation of price/cost reasonableness. In addition, supports price negotiations held with the supplier.
• Uses industry techniques and practices to establish fair and reasonable pricing positions and negotiation ranges.
• Reviews subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment and services.
• Utilizes expertise of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Supplements, with a strong working knowledge of FAR Part 15. Also utilizes knowledge of Title 10 CFR 600.
• May function in an advisory or leadership role providing direction to professional staff; may participate in the selection, development and training of all levels of professional procurement staff.
• Utilizes analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
• Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. • Utilizes MS Office Suite, SAP and other applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

• Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
• Must have a complete knowledge and competence in the concepts, principles, and standard practices in costing and pricing.
• Must have experience negotiating and working in government contracting environment and be able to analyze and solve a variety of moderately complex costing problems.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have MS Office Suite, SAP and other ERP applications experience.
• Must be able to work extended hours when required.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration or related field, plus 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment OR Associate’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration or related field, plus 12 years’ exempt experience in a manufacturing environment OR High School diploma or Equivalent, plus 16 years’ exempt experience in a manufacturing environment.
