Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Postal Services and Solutions group. This is a contract to provide USPS Information Technology with professional, technical and support services to support the application development, database production support, help desk administration, LAN administration and various requirements for distributed technical support throughout the USPS enterprise.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work as part of a team comprised of a project manager, business analysts, developers and customers to provide analysis, software development lifecycle support and change management support on various applications assigned to the System Support Center.
Responsibilities include:
Read and understand Cobol to determine the business logic in an application in order to write the requirements for an application rewrite.
Analyze business and technology needs.
Develop specifications to meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with customers and developers to build solutions.
Create and execute automated and manual tests to ensure requirements are met.
Develop documentation to support requirements and testing.
This position will be located in Saint Louis, MO and does not provide relocation assistance. Prefer local candidates for face to face interviews.

BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or a related field AND 7 years of directly related work experience in IT; 4 Additional years of experience can substitute for a BA/BS Degree.
5+ years' experience in business analysis activities.
Must have at least 3 years programming experience with Cobol/DB2
Demonstrated ability to seek and rapidly acquire business and technical knowledge needed to independently serve as a liaison between the customer, developers, and business project leader.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong understanding for SQL.
Understanding of Agile Methodology and Visual Basic.
Working knowledge of development tools such as Java-based user interface and Oracle databases
Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, oral and written communication skills to include ability to facilitate meetings comprised of business and IT representatives.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proven ability to lead others and be a self-starter.

5/40 workweek
