Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structural Designer in Palmdale, CA.

Description
Design of structural detail parts, assemblies and installations, as well as, systems installations for aircraft. Engineer shall be responsible for development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings, planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities of assigned subordinate engineers, and support of manufacturing operations and customers in resolving technical problems related to the aircraft structure and systems. Candidate must be able to coordinate efforts with little or no supervision across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Planning, Tooling, Stress, M&P, R&M, Material, Flight Sciences, Test, Manufacturing, and other Design IPTs to ensure that designs meet customer and derived requirements. Candidate must have aerospace design experience with knowledge of configuration management techniques, drafting/drawing conventions, and aerospace specifications and procedures.

Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:
This position is located at a facility that requires special access----Proficient with CATIA V5--Understanding of drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes

Desired:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Windows Bachelor OR Above Degree in a Engineering Technical Discipline--5 or more years experience in the design of aircraft structures
