RESPONSIBILITIES
is currently looking for a RF/Microwave Antenna Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a broad range of experience that supports the specification, analysis, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of launch vehicle and satellite antenna hardware and associated RF/microwave systems. The successful candidate needs an understanding of the specification and design of antennas for aerospace applications, design of RF/microwave matching networks, simulation and modeling approaches for antennas, and antenna test and measurement techniques. The individual must create detailed specifications to procure antenna hardware, evaluate performance data to assess RF system performance, and troubleshoot and correct RF/microwave system faults. The individual will be the technical point of contact for both customers in the system application of antenna hardware and vendors for detailed design parameters and technical oversight.
Essential Responsibilities
• Act as the central customer technical point of contact for RF/microwave antenna hardware in evaluating new system designs and supporting existing designs.
• Support, evaluate, and oversee antenna hardware vendors in the manufacture of antenna and support equipment for space launch vehicle and satellite applications.
• Analyze antennas, matching networks, and cabling to resolve RF/microwave system faults.
• Utilize antenna simulation and modeling tools to predict performance.
• Document test results, resolve failures to root cause, and work with internal and external customers to implement repair and improvement plans.
