Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician for an opening in Canoga Park, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Ensure completion and accuracy of product and lab related quality control records
o Maintain applicable testing logs, filing of quality control records, and maintenance of record retention as required by company documentation policy
o Perform routine QC functions such as equipment maintenance, managing lab supplies and test materials, and maintain a clean and orderly laboratory area
o Perform product evaluation tests or special test requests to assist product technical teams with process improvements, corrective and preventative actions
o Participate in team meetings to troubleshoot product performance and/or process issue
o Assist with assay troubleshooting and laboratory investigations of Out of Specification results
o Assist in the editing of QC department test protocols
o Aid in coordinating the QC daily workload
o Assist with other QC department functions as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
oMS Office computer skills required for record and analysis reporting - i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
oKnowledge of Basic Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and GMP requirements
Ability to:
oExercise independent discretion and judgment in execution of duties
oCapable of managing the workday with minimal input/supervision
oStrong organizational and analytical skills
oPlan and execute tasks in a consistent and timely manner to meet product release deadlines
oEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff members
oEffectively communicate both orally and in writing
oPerform computer operations for data entry and reporting
oDemonstrate ability to work well in a team environment and independently as needed oFamiliar with basic statistical concepts and software applications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
oPipetting skills
oPCR and Elisa testing experience
oGeneral knowledge of Serological and Molecular HLA typing protocols

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor degree in a biological or related science from an accredited college or university plus one (1) year of laboratory experience

WORK HOURS: FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
