Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler located in Sunnyvale, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to the Manager, Supply Chain. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Under minimal supervision, receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard by performing the following duties.
oCounts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
oStores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
oFills orders or issues supplies from stock.
oPrepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
oRun reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
oMarks identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.
oDistributes stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued.
oDetermines methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
oCuts stock to size to fill order.
oMoves or transports material or supplies to other departments.
oMaintains inventory and other stock records.
oPack/palletize orders in Shipping.
oPrepares "Shipping Declaration" for Dangerous Goods.
oInspection of picked items for sales orders using the manifest system.
oProcess sales orders in the manifest system.
oRun reports to verify shipment counts per carrier.
oAdditional duties as assigned.
oPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and smell. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
oWork Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
oAbility to use a pallet jack and dolly.
oAbility to use a PC with Microsoft Office software.
oAbility to perform data entry into an ERP system such as Oracle.
oWell organized and must have good communication skills



Interaction with Other Employees (level of contact, purpose and frequency)
oFrequent contact with Production Leads/Supervisors to clarify issues.
oFrequent contact with Production personnel to complete stock transaction forms and data entry.
oFrequent contact with Customer Service personnel to prioritize and organize shipments.
oBuilds productive internal/external working relationships.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
oValid CA driver's license.
oForklift certification desirable.
oHazardous Materials and/or Dangerous Goods certifications desirable.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED and minimum of 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
