Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lab Technician for an opening in Bellefonte, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Column Production Lab:
Column testing
Computer data entry
Column Box assembly
Column Labeling and Boxing
Recordkeeping
May perform or assist in instrument and equipment maintenance and qualification.
Maintains appropriate schedule and records
Solvent Disposal
Solvent Restocking
Supply ordering/with supervisor/purchasing
Directed experiments
Documents detailed and accurate records (computer and notebook)
Completes all assigned training
Reads, understands, and follows methods, SOPs, work instructions, safety requirements, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
Maintains laboratory cleanliness at all times to minimise the risk to health and contamination of equipment.
Continues to acquire and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure continuing personal growth to meet the needs of the job and the success of the business.
Encourages mutual respect and co-operation within your departmental team and those of other departments.
Knows, fully understands the purpose of operational practices, health & safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and ISO9000/ISO13485/FDA 21CFR820 quality procedures, and works accordingly.
Ensures that health and safety procedures are adhered to and that considerations are given to improve safe working practices to take reasonable care for oneself and others who may be affected by one’s acts or omissions.
Recommendations to Supervisor Production on packing and testing procedures.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Physical/Environmental requirements. (Refer to Physical Requirement Reference Sheet when completing this section.) Identify all requirements that apply to the essential job functions. (List specific activities.)

(1) Physical Activities:

Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching,

standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting,fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions.

(2) Level of Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

(3) Level of Visual Acuity:

Inspection, Close Assembly, Clerical, Professional, or Administrative: This is the minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, operation of machines, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye.

Machine Operators, Mechanics, Skilled Tradespeople. This is the minimum standard for use with those whose work deals with machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach.

(4) Environmental Conditions:

The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

Interaction with Other Employees (level of contact, purpose and frequency):

This position interacts with other Stockroom, Production, Engineering, Sales, Administration, Accounting & Finance, Customer Service, and Quality Depts.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
