RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, schedules and routes imports and export shipments; including monitoring the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations, ensuring related customer service, brokerage, and customs transaction compliance. Maintains compliance with federal and foreign regulations; governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products.
Responsibilities Include:
· Researches and resolves customer or supplier issues. Interfaces with internal and external worldwide import/export operations and organizations.
· Provide classification according to the HTSUSA.
· Requires the ability to interpret US Harmonized Tariffs along with their chapter and explanatory notes.
· Requires the ability to source Customs rulings to support classification determinations.
· Process and submits Customs Rulings.
· Meet internal customer's deadlines by ensuring timely processing and delivery of import shipments.
· Acts as liaison with U.S. customs representatives to resolve problems.
· Coordinate timely responses to Customs notices and inquiries.
· Provide broker with entry instructions and monitor broker's performance.
· Implement SCMI tool for international suppliers and coordinate training.
· Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices.
· Handle all post entry amendments, and audit all import files for accuracy/completeness
· Monitor forwarder performance and provide feedback to forwarder as appropriate.
· Negotiates with foreign customers to develop handling agreements
· Support NGC export personnel/process to ensure required documentation/data is secured prior to exportation in order to facilitate the processing of import entries.
· Support other Traffic and adminsitrative functions, as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
· Five to Seven years of work experience in customs brokerage in the Logistics Industry.
· CBP issued Customs Broker License.
· Global Trade experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and various regulatory agencies.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills (verbal & written); with the ability to solve complex challenges.
· Accountable and takes ownership with an ability to perform with little or no guidance.
· Must be a resource to others within the organization and have flexible availability.
· Knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, Access, and Project (or similar products) is required.

EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's Degree is required.

HOURS:
1st shift; 9/80 workweek
