Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Operator for an opening in Kalamazoo, MI .

The temporary Operator II, Manufacturing position is responsible for all tasks associated with the operation, inspecting and packaging of finished goods, including but not limited to; performing all required quality checks to include visual inspection of parts for defects (fill levels, packaging and others); completing production operations work orders accurately to include filling, capping, labeling, packaging and cleaning. The temporary Operator II, Manufacturing will also be responsible for performing equipment set-up and change over, basic preventative maintenance, cleaning of equipment, work area and facility while complying with all safety and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in Practical Process Improvement teams
• Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility
• Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner
• Cleans packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Principles (cGMPs)
• Provide support to meet department and company objectives
• Ability to clearly document required information
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures as documented and trained
• Comply with all company policies and procedures (safety, regulatory, etc.)
• Specific Job Related Training Required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o The ability to lift, push and/or pull, up to 50 lbs.
o Excellent communication and attention to detail
o Must be able to speak, read and write (legibly) in the English language without assistance
o Must have basic computer skills, to include, but not be limited to: data entry, log in/out, screen and program navigation
o Must have working mathematical skills for adding, subtraction, multiplication, division
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable and maintain a positive attitude
o Ability to clearly document required information
o Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures as documented and trained

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
o Experience with working in chemical manufacturing is preferred

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
