Chipton Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Batesville, IN.


Provide technical support of post-commercialized product across the organization within the electrical and electronics expertise. Support of product design including: improvements in product functionality, cost, quality, and manufacturability. Provide technical expertise and communication with all segments of the business including marketing, field service, production, purchasing, testing engineering, electrical engineering, codes and standards, and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Other duties may be assigned:
o Develop and revise the requirements for electrical modules and systems
o Design and document electrical modules including circuit board, electro-mechanical components, sensors, I/O, and cables.
o Support the creation of testing requirements for verification and validation
o Maintain manufacturing test requirements and support the manufacturing engineers to produce the product
o Design, develop, and verify, through test and analysis, various sub-assemblies and components to improve margins on existing medical devices
o Accurately document designs through the creation and maintenance of design requirement specifications, product drawings, component drawings, material specifications and bills of material in accordance with FDA, UL, and ISO requirements
o Completes activities with robust performance through a project plan and schedule
o Create and maintain project financials, including costed BOMs, CAPEX and OPEX
o Generates detailed, high quality technical documentation to capture and communicate designs
o Completes assigned tasks on time with minimal supervision
o Informs others proactively about developments or issues that affect their work, and their ability to meet commitments
o Uses collaborative communication style to negotiate win-win outcomes
o Debate constructively and accepts ideas from others
o Tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming sessions
o Generates alternative solutions to problems or processes
o This role does not have supervisory responsibility

" BS Degree (preferably EE/EET)
" 6+ years of engineering experience, or comparable experience. Electrical experience with hardware and PCBAs design.
" Familiar with design control requirements and test methodologies for UL, FDA, and ISO
" Experience with project management is required
" Familiar working with simulation tools (i.e. Multisim)
" Strong organizational and communication skills
" Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
" Experience in the medical device industry and FDA regulation is preferred
" Thrives on change and adapts to leader initiated changes
" 4+ years working in cross functional teams consisting of discipline specific engineers, or comparable experience

" BS Degree (preferably EE/EET)
