Chipton-Ross is seeking a Logistics Operator for an opening in Network Administrator Level 2.

Network Administrator Level 2 provides general network & server administration support to client through monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining systems. Duties are defined as 75% Network and 25% Server Administration assignments. Candidate will respond to internal customer issues through the use of HelpDesk ticketing system. Provides network & server project support as an IT team-member. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Engages stakeholders and determines software/hardware requirements. Oversees or performs data backups and disaster recovery operations. Establishes network access control criteria. Develops and monitors computing policies and standards. Performs applications & network analysis, modification, and implementation. Tunes system performance, installs system software, and allocates mass storage space. Makes hardware/software purchase recommendations. Evaluates vendor products, oversees vendor support and coordinates installation. Revises existing systems and procedures and documents systems parameters and formats. Provides technical expertise for enhancement of and change to system security configuration. Experienced with system patching technologies and vulnerability remediation methods. Senior level experience implementing solutions for Microsoft Windows 2008/2010 Servers operating systems, VMware virtualization technology. Evaluates existing Windows server technologies and services, and makes recommendations to meet IT strategic plan. Understands a high-availability, high-performance environment and performs work to those standards. Works with consulting resources and project managers to achieve project implementations on time and on budget; commits to and meets project milestones and costs. Accountable for the implementation of technology/services architectures and standards. Accountable for following detailed designs based on the committed architecture and standards. Participates in the implementation of solutions delivery, including planning, design, build, testing, ordering and transition to production support. Participates in the development of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans. Ability to work with and participate in a team environment. Employment is located on-site in Hood River, OR. Work requires occasional off hours shifts and less than or equal to 10% travel to remote branch offices for maintenance and global IT operational support.

Job Duties: (75% Network Requirement)
oIntermediate to moderate level administrative skills on Switches, Routers & Firewalls
oTroubleshooting of: LAN/WAN/MPLS, Internet, T-1, Fiber, Ethernet, Circuits, PoE, VOIP, L2 VLANs, L3 Routing, SIP, VPN, Wireless systems 802.11(n,a,b,g,ac) bands
oUse LAN/WAN troubleshooting & reporting systems to diagnose circuit outages
oImplement Network traffic reporting tools (NetFlow, SNMP, PRTG) to and conduct traffic analysis
oMicrosoft Domain knowledge to troubleshoot &administer DNS/DHCP, TACACS+
oBasic knowledge of Generator, HVAC, power monitoring and alerting systems
oSupport for installations: Racks, Servers,Cabling, Data Centers
oPatch & Firmware Maint. to address compliance and security audits
oCommunicates & works with vendors on circuit provisioning and troubleshooting
oMust be able to lift and install IT equipment
oCommute to branch offices to conduct network troubleshooting/repair

Job Duties: (25% Server Requirement)
oExperience participating in Windows server based initiatives for complex organizations.
oConsiderable experience implementing, and supporting Windows servers and server operating systems(2008/2010)
oExtensive experience with server hardware
oExperience with group policy, especially security policies
oIn-depth knowledge of Active Directory and MS Exchange 2010
oExperience implementing and supporting SAN and backup solutions
oMust possess advanced troubleshooting skills
oNetwork security configuration exposure a plus
oFamiliarity with Microsoft System Center and or working knowledge of SCCM to manage the deployment and security of devices and applications across an enterprise

oThree to five years of production network & server administration experience, or equivalent combination of training, certification, education and experience.
oExperience must include network monitoring systems, network maintenance and updating or upgrading network equipment and server systems.
oAbility to work well with people and be customer service orientated; obtain and maintain security clearance.
oDemonstrated ability to work in an environment with limited supervision, manage conflicting priorities and make independent decisions.
oAble to read and understand network diagrams, system specifications and technical manuals.

Accredited Technical bachelor's degree preferred and 3-5 years of demonstrated or equivalent work experience.
Cisco CCNA, Network+, MCSA/MCSE and or VMWare certifications are desired.
