Chipton-Ross is seeking a Internal Auditor, Lead and Shipment Support Services for an opening in Northampton, MA.

Major purpose: The Lead Internal Auditor must be able to effectively plan, develop, communicate, and execute an audit within a defined scope, including resource scheduling, conducting necessary meetings in performance of the audit, and using appropriate auditing techniques. They will be responsible for all activities related to internal audits conducted at client. The lead auditor will conduct audits in a professional, ethical and objective manner by using and interpreting applicable standards (ISO 9001), Corporate/Company Policies and Procedures, and other requirements (contracts, regulatory, statutory), with an awareness of potential legal ramifications.

Create and maintain the annual internal audit schedule.
Develop and conduct Internal Audit Training as necessary.
Assign the auditors and/or audit teams to each internal audit.
Develop all internal audit plans.
Conduct Opening/Closing meetings.
Lead and/or conduct the audits.
Write and deliver clear, concise audit reports.
Identify needs for corrective and preventive action.
Identify opportunities for improvement.
Report audit status at monthly management reviews.
Support and/or facilitate post-audit process improvement activities.
Facilitate the implementation of improvement opportunities developed as a result of audit findings or audit recommendations.
Monitor and review the audit program.
Evaluate performance of auditors.

Provide support and back up to the Supervisor, Quality Services.
Lead periodic system audits, including but not limited to Subsafe and Critical Safety Standard Operating Procedures; to determine Division compliance, analyze results, and develop corrective action to improve current systems, processes and procedures.
Participate in the preparation and review of all deliverable Objective Quality Evidence during the end item shipment process.
Review operations sheets, engineering documentation and test methods for completeness/accuracy.
Prepare/review and approve Certificates of Compliance per contractual requirements.
Support/participate with the Subsafe TI+E team in determining the usability of fielded critical safety and level one parts.
Perform other duties as assigned.

-Must have the ability to participate in, lead and facilitate teams
-Knowledge of ISO9001:2015, AS9100, MIL Standards, Defense contracts requirements such as FAR, DFAR, DPAS, etc.
-Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access
-Good Problem solving skills
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Works well with management, peers and subordinates
-Experience supervising, coaching and developing staff
Environment/Equipment Used:
-Normal office environment with agreeable working conditions
- Exposure to light manufacturing area
-The use of safety equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
-This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.

-Hand-eye coordination
-Concentrated mental/visual demand

Must be a ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or equivalent
Experience within a manufacturing environment and defense industry desired
Successful candidates must meet eligibility requirements to access US classified information

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience or Associates Degree with a minimum of four years of experience as an Internal Auditor
