- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Paralegal C located in Renton, WA
Client, the world's aerospace leader, seeks a talented paralegal to join the Law Department at Longacres in Renton, Washington. Working closely with Client attorneys and other paralegals, the paralegal will provide a full range of support for a diverse set of business clients and will frequently be the main point of contact for internal clients. Principal duties will include review and screening of correspondence, memorandum and agreements (including nondisclosure agreements, purchase agreements and other types of contracts), helping internal clients navigate company processes related to intellectual property and risk, and educating and training internal clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience in contract review and drafting, sound judgment in ambiguous situations, exposure to intellectual property issues, and demonstrated abilities to learn and adapt quickly, anticipate the needs of supervising attorneys and internal clients, to triage and issue spot, and to own and drive issues to resolution. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to explain legal positions to others, including attorneys and paralegals representing companies that do business with Client; and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Adobe Acrobat. Candidates must have the ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment, be self-motivated, capable of meeting deadlines, organized, and process and detail-oriented.
o Experience reviewing and revising contracts, such as purchase agreements, software licenses, supply agreements, services agreements, or nondisclosure agreements and IP experience.
o Process oriented, accurate and organized.
o Experience in a full-service law firm or corporate in-house counsel setting preferred.
o Attention to detail is crucial.
o Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred
Prefer five (5) years' experience in a full-service law firm or corporate in-house counsel setting. A Paralegal Certificate and/or Accredited Bachelor's degree is desired.
8 AM - 5 PM
The candidate selected to fill this assignment must successfully pass a credit check performed by the client.
Travel Required-Use of personal vehicle for local travel may be required, with reimbursement of related costs; and occasional domestic travel via common carrier required.
