Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer 3 for an opening in Ladson, SC.

This assignment is in support of 737 MAX inlet assembly. This engineering will establish measurement plans to monitor hardware variation throughout the assembly process, measure product to create 3D shim profile shapes, and verify end product geometric profile. This assignment requires an expert knowledge of the leica 960 T-scan and associated software platforms, such as Spatial Analyzer, Polyworks and CATIA. This assignment requires the ability to create automated scripting to post process the scan data. Supports the development and verification of methods in support 737 MAX inlet assembly. Develops detailed test procedures, and configuration definition, needed to perform the measurement test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan. Develops solutions to system problems of limited scope and impact. Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve requirements. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements. Reviews data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer. Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements. Presents test results internally. Archives data and reports. Trains others. Works under general direction.

Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

WORK HOURS: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
This assignment will be primarily for first shift. However, depending on production demand there may be circumstances where 2nd shift support is required to meet the business needs.
