Candidate should have experience in issuing purchase orders and applying analytical skills to gather information, discern best value, develop procurement strategies, and systematically document all transactions. Effective communication skills are critical for networking, coordination, and team work to meet strict quality, delivery, and cost deadlines that impact the entire value stream.
Sources and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare bid packages.

Hours: 7AM - 4PM
3 Years with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters. Military procurement experience strongly desired. Candidate will provide Submarine Fleet GFE support and should have:
o Ability to communicate across departments and with Government agencies
o Good organizational and customer service skills with the ability to multi-task
o Basic knowledge of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) management
o Basic knowledge of Submarine Procurement
o Ability to coordinate the shipment of Submarine Fleet Support Black Tag (Refurbished) and AERP material while maintaining accurate records
o Knowledge of FAR/DFAR guidelines
o Knowledge of SAP
Exposure and/or experience in other areas of the supply chain value stream are a plus.

Candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited school.
