- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler for an opening in Tempe, AZ.
The candidate must have a strong work ethic along with the flexibility and the interpersonal skills to work within a teaming environment. Candidate must be able to assemble electronic subassemblies and final assemblies, using both written and paperless work instructions. Awareness of aviation products and specifications is a plus. Rework skills are required on electronic assembly and circuit card assembly. Current product build process knowledge and experience is desired including conathane, pro-seal, end item assembly, and burn in processes. Candidate is expected to perform all product build processes and work on any product directed by management to meet business needs. Candidate must be available to work 1st or 2nd shift to meet business needs and available to work overtime when required. Candidate must be able to both use and work in an environment where typical chemicals that are found in an electronics production environment are utilized.
Industry standard solder skills are required. Successful candidate will receive internal training if necessary and will be required to pass IPC A610 and JSTD 001 solder and rework certification tests. Current Certification to IPC A610 and JSTD 001 are preferred. The position requires the ability to read and understand Engineering drawings as well as manufacturing work instructions. Previous work experience assembling mechanical and electronic assemblies is required. Experience with Microscope assembly work, X-RAY and Air VAC Rework stations would be a plus. General knowledge of Lean or demand flow manufacturing practices would be helpful.
