Description
Chipton Ross is seeking 3 Test Technician 2 (Mechanic) for an opening at Stennis Space Center, MS

RESPONSIBILITIES:
100% - Performs hands-on servicing and assembly of rocket engines and related test facility and support equipment at a customer or company facility.

Servicing and assembly includes:
Performing maintenance and repairs
Replacing Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
Conducting product testing diagnostics
Overhauling hardware
Integrating product with ground systems, payloads or flight/launch vehicles.
Additional duties include locating and correcting malfunctions or discrepancies in development/flight hardware and associated ground support equipment.
Interpret data and assist engineering in diagnosing non-conformances.
Use and continually improve knowledge and experience to independently perform work at multiple locations.

REQUIREMENTS
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, various measuring and testing devices, and experience with hand tools are essential.
Ability to understand and interpret required engineering drawings, instructions, and technical manuals needed.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% as required.

PREFERRED:
Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as high pressure pneumatic, cryogenic and hydraulic systems, NDT type equipment, etc.
Aerospace background with A&P license/military equivalent proficiency test preferred.

EDUCATION:
Requires an Associate's degree in a related discipline and 1-2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
