- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer 3 located in Oklahoma City, OK
This is a mid-level engineering position performing Avionics and associated ground Systems support and Testing. Candidate will perform avionics and associated Ground Systems support and testing with a focus on Flight Controls. Perform AV/FC Systems analysis, development and test. All effort is in support of the C-17 Military Airlifter. Candidate will become a team member in the avionics organization working closely with software, avionics, and systems engineers. Activities will be undertaken per organization and program standards and procedures, under the guidance of subject matter expert engineers and management, but with appropriate freedom to learn and innovate.
A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work in a team environment within a complex organization. The selected candidate will be tasked to develop solutions to engineering technical problems; and to apply engineering, scientific, and common sense principles in the context of organizational dynamics and real world cost & schedule targets.
Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
