Description
Chipton Ross is seeking an Accountant in Acton, MA.

Job Summary: Provide Financial Planning & Analysis support and perform month end close procedures including management reporting. Support projects to achieve the growth, improved profitability and cash flow. These may include capital investment proposals, new business development, new product development activities, as well as product line management and profitability.

Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:
o Prepare monthly financial analysis of revenues, product costs, fixed spending, capital investments, and other key financial metrics
o Monitor and report financial performance to cross-functional management team members
o Analyze financial data and processes and suggest improvements that increase shareholder value
o Assist in preparing and communicating annual business plan
o Prepare and communicate quarterly financial forecasts
o Identify, monitor, and communicate overall margin and sales by major customer
o Analyze weekly order status, shipments, incoming orders

Requirements:
o At least (5) five years Accounting / Finance experience
o Proficiency in MS Office Suite
o Excellent verbal and written skills
o Customer service focus with initiative and creativity in problem solving
o Experience working on a financial/accounting team including cross-training and work coverage
Preferred o Experience with an ERP system - such as SAP o Supplementary internal and external financial training o Experience within a manufacturing environment

Education:
o BS in Finance or Accounting
Schedule: Full time, first shift
