Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 for an opening in Grand Prairie, TX.
Our Software Engineering team is looking for creative software engineers with a desire for professional growth and technical challenge to help design, develop & test Operational Flight Software (OFP) for a hypersonic missile. The engineer will be responsible for porting, designing & developing guidance algorithms, aircraft interface management, sensor interface management, navigation data processing, and power management. The hypersonic missile will consist of a booster, glider/warhead and sensor that will be launched from an aircraft aimed at high value targets. Protocols on the missile include MIL-STD-1760 (1553), RS-422 Ethernet (UDP) as well as discrete I/O.
- Advanced software development skills in C/C++ - Proficient in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle from requirements through integration and test - Good verbal and written communication skills - Good interpersonal skills, able to work with both internal and external customers and stakeholders
- Experience in using Matlab/Simulink for generation of auto code and retuning
Accredited BS in Computer Engineering; Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
