- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Administrator Level 1 for an opening in Lexington, KY.
This position provides IT/Windows server administration services including physical/virtual server installation, configuration, and integration to the customer. The candidate will not be locked into single role and will allow for expansion of skills in other aspects of the IT operation. Candidate must be hungry to learn new skills.
User Account Maintenance (Active Directory) Folder creation and permissions management. Applying Security Technical Implementation Guide settings Hardware/System Monitoring of physical and virtual servers System Maintenance - scheduled upgrades/maintenance, startup and shutdown of rack components Software Maintenance - applying OS updates, antivirus/antispyware updates, and patch updates
Good Communication & Verbal skills Change management experience Self Starter & the ability to multitask Basic understanding of Storage Area Network (SAN), logical unit number (LUN) and host bus adapter (HBA) Hardware Working knowledge of windows services -Active directory -DNS -Group Policy -Distributed File system -DHCP Must be willing to support off hours and weekend work depending on operational needs Occasional travel to support off-site software installation and upgrades may be required
The candidate must be Security + certified

Accredited High School Diploma/GED
