Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Level 1/Level 2 (3) for an opening in Canoga Park, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manufacturing Engineer classifications are responsible for design, fabrication, modification, analysis and evaluation of manufacturing operations, processes, procedures and production layouts for the support of manufacturing / assembly operations for rocket engine components and/or systems, equipment installation, machining, metal forming, welding and brazing, and material handling.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
-Designing and planning of layout component fabrication, assembly and material handling, planning of sequence of operations, and specification procedures.
-The scope of responsibility will be for several mechanical components or as a process engineer supporting new and developing process.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
-Tight tolerance machining, Welding, Design systems (ProE, CATIA, VisMockup, CAD/virtual manufacturing) . -Manufacturing fabrication and assembly processes and systems.Verbal and written communication.
-Project management skills and MS Office applications ( Word, Excel).
-Experience with Maestro, Delmia and Windchill are preferred, not required.
-Aerospace experience preferred but not required.

EDUCATION:
Level 1: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Level 2: Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
