Description


RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an individual who will support custom test controllers, special test equipment and networks in the engineering areas. Strong system administration skills and IT hardware and operating systems are required to support high availability/dynamic environments such as engineering labs and Integration and test beds in the Space program areas
Recurring responsibilities:
Use Enterprise Level hardware and application software and setting up centralized services
Design technical sound solutions for system requirements including both functional and the security compliance
Implement security controls and profiles and communicate with information security/computer security office to ensure compliance.
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
Deliver updates and coordinate with impacted team including conducting reviews and presenting findings.
Perform continuous monitoring for systems, including documentation for supporting the process.
Develop patching and remediation activities including developing the end to end process with users and implementing them.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
BS Degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience Or Equivalent work experience 13+ years of System Admin experience.
Computer system administration and networking experience.
Ability to certify in Security +, CISSP or other security and OS/network certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Data center or high availability/dynamic engineering environment experience.
Security + or higher security certification.
LINUX Operating System Certification RHEL 6. Will consider Windows server level certification.
Cisco certifications or equivalent networking experienced and on the job training.
On the job experience in virtual server maintenance, managing patch and remediation services for multiple systems, rack installation and maintenance.

EDUCATION:
BS Degree in an engineering discipline Or Equivalent work experience 13+ years of System Admin experience.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek
