Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst III for an opening in San Diego Naval Base, CA.

Under general direction, the Senior Analyst determines approaches to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, and practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of configuration management techniques. Conceives and plans projects involving the development of new methods to attain objectives. Processes and controls the changes made to all design disclosures including drawings, specifications, company standards and client documentation. Coordinates and participates in physical and functional configuration audits with functional organizations. Provides data in support of contract data requirements list (CDRL) submissions. Prepares configuration management plans conforming to contract requirements. Participates in preliminary and critical design reviews, data reviews and product reviews, recommending and initiating changes if necessary. Prepares and maintains configuration accounting reports that are required in contracts and/or company policies. Keeps current within area of specialty in support of project assignments. Participates as a member of various project teams and committees. May have configuration management responsibilities for one or more programs of varying complexity. May provide technical guidance to less senior configuration management analysts and to design staff.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Desired 7 years of experience in engineering and analytical disciplines to identify, document, and verify the functional, performance, and physical characteristics of systems and associated interface systems, to control changes and non-conformance, and to track actual configurations of systems and platforms per the MIL-HDBK-61A in the planning, baseline management, life cycle management, configuration identification, configuration audits, formal reviews, engineering changes, and configuration management records and reports; and the use of automated tools to perform such functions.
