- Chipton-Ross is seeking an A/C Struct Trainee (2) for an opening in Hawthorne, CA.
Build panels for the 747-8 Aircraft for the Hawthorne Site. Ability to work under direction of A/C Structure Mechanics in higher labor grades, Leads, and Supervisors. Must attend an 8-week on-site training class. On occasion must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to learn to work accurately from engineering drawings, blueprints, quality procedures, written and oral work instructions, and specifications under the direction of higher classified A/C Structure Mechanics,Leads,and Supervisors. Must be able to learn from and accept verbal instructions from higher classified A/C Structure Mechanics,Leads,and Supervisors. Must have basic administrative skills in order to prepare and maintain documentation, records and specifications under the direction of higher classified A/C Structure Mechanics,Leads,and Supervisors. Must adhere to all safety and operational procedures and directives. Must be flexible to work any shift, overtime (when needed) and work on different parts of the airplane as required. Must keep area clean and orderly. Must have basic math skills. Must be familiar with computer systems.
Will attend an on-site 8-week comprehensive training program.
minimum of 1 year full-time work experience in any industry. Applicants must possess vocational or similar training or education that includes basic mathematics, (decimals, fractions, addition, subtraction and multiplication), and reading, verbal and written skills needed to interpret and work from engineering drawings (blue prints), manufacturing specifications, procedures, work orders, and verbal instructions.
