Chipton-Ross is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator II for an opening in Fremont, CA.

The Procurement Coordinator II will have a primary responsibility to ensure that all Supplier Qualification Documentation is updated, accurate and filed accordingly. The person may also be responsible for supporting the transactional activities related to the buyer's management of the supplier. Such activities may include reporting activities for expediting open orders, completing cost variances, rectifying shipment discrepancies, resolving non-catalog item cost variances and updating costs.
Communicating Supplier Qualification requirements to the supplier and working diligently to receive the completed documentation back.
Knowledge of good clinical practices and protocols, and supporting regulatory compliance.
Evaluate and select potential suppliers to gain the best quality, cost and delivery of purchased material consistent with required standards.
Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Works with manufacturing, engineering, and customer service departments to identify alternative suppliers within the Approved Supplier List where possible.
Ability to take initiative and work independently towards a defined goal. Attention to detail a must.
Strong customer service focus to enhance satisfaction, demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers.
Master Data cleansing of supplier information to align our Documentation and ERP systems.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with buyer(s) while being able to escalate issues that do not involve transactional resolution (process changes, long term issues, etc.).
Improves processes and creates efficiencies through lean initiatives (Practical Process Improvement).
Perform other related duties as assigned.

1+ years of Purchasing or related experience recommended
Flexible with demonstrated ability to multi-task
Sense of priority and urgency
Good verbal and written communication skills
Extremely Organized
Looks at change in a positive manner
Promotes good attitude and teamwork
