Candidate will report directly to the In Service CVN / Submarines / Kesselring Procurement Program Manager, acting as a program management analyst, s/he will be responsible for working across the value stream, reviewing/analyzing performance to schedule/budget, assessing risks related to the Procurement function, preparing briefs, mitigation plans, and management of other procurement related activity to include Annual Operating Plans, Labor Resource Planning, etc.
Be able to work in a fast paced environment with cross functional teams to deliver desired results.
Understand the material value stream from cradle to grave and identify risks and opportunities.
Be able to articulate the status of Material Procurements relative to Construction Team need dates.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Minimal travel required
Must have 3 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters.
Be fluent in Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
Have a holistic understanding of the procurement process and FAR relating to Carrier and Submarine availabilities.
Working knowledge of FAR requirements is desired and procurement background is a benefit but not required.
Bachelors or Masters is required.
