RESPONSIBILITIES:
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Linux/Oracle (CRS) Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Eagan, MN. This is an on-site position with no telecommute possibilities. You will join the Midrange System Engineering team which is responsible for Unix / Linux server system design, automation solutions, establishing configuration standards, deployment, on-site and remote administration, user support, performance monitoring and tuning and capacity planning. This position will work independently resolving complex, escalated technical problems.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Contribute to the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of high volume number of bare metal and virtual servers within the infrastructure.
Providing integral support for building, customizing, deploying and executing patching and server builds from creation and promotion along through automation tools such as Anisible, VMware infrastructures, and secure environments.
Manages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systems/software owners.
Collects and presents data for reporting and planning.
Determines best tactical and/or long-term solution, formulate, implement, and maintain solutions.
Prefer: Local to the Eagan, MN area, no relocation assistance provide.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or associated discipline preferred and a minimum of 10 years of Systems Administration experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.
Seven years of experience in Systems Administration of Solaris or SuSE Linux systems in a large scale production environment.
Experience with Linux for Oracle clusters (CRS).
Experience with Linux (CentOs/Red Hat) administration.
Experience with Rights permission management.
Experience with OS patch management.
Experience Server configuration management.
Experience with Linux OS running in both a physical and virtual (VMware) environment.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of VMware.
Extensive knowledge of enterprise storage.
Solid understanding of RHEL 7.
Experience with Python or Ruby scripting.
Knowledge of Docker, and at least some experience in a lab testing it.
Red Hat Certifications are a plus.
Extensive knowledge of the Red Hat product portfolio (RHEL, Ansible, Cloudforms, Satellite, Red Hat Virtualization, OpenShift, Gluster, etc.).
Familiarity with DevOps and IT automation concepts.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or associated discipline preferred. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.

HOURS:
5/40 workweek
