Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer Level 2 for an opening in Oldsmar, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position entails the application and maintence of quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for the manufacturing of electronic equipment. This position will require data analysis skills to determine defect trends as well as the coordination of root cause analysis and corrective actions. The position supports overall quality assurance functions for electronics production which may include QMS audits, working cross functionally in a team environment for continuous improvement for defect reduction, and ensuring product meets customer requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
2 years minimum experience working in an engineering field
Experience working with surface mount assembly processes, mechanical assembly processes or cable assembly processes are a plus. Knowledge of specifications IPC 610, IPC 620, J-Std-001 and familiarity with interpretation of engineering drawings per ASME-Y14.100 Above average computer skills to include use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Detail oriented, good oral and written communication skills, ability to interface with customer representatives in a positive, professional manner.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with AS9100, statistical process control, printed circuit card, cable, or mechanical assembly processes. Six sigma green belt.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering
