- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Technician Field Level 2 for an opening in Orlando, FL.
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
o Experience with rigging, hoisting, positioning of heavy equipment. o Extensive experience with assembly of engineering prototype hardware and operation of basic machine shop equipment (saws, sanders, mills, lathes, drill presses, etc.). o Working knowledge of drilling and tapping various types of steels and aluminum alloys. o Experience with pneumatic impact wrenches, torque wrenches and general knowledge in basic fastener types, strengths and threads. o Demonstrated sound writing and verbal communication skills in a teaming environment. o Capable of obtaining certifications to operate a pallet stacker and overhead hoist/cranes. o Capable of obtaining an ATF Explosives Possessors License. o Minimum of five years exp
HPUs, and servos. o Vocational education in machine shop practices.
