Chipton Ross is seeking a Project Manager for an opening in New Brighton, MN

The PM-SMS is responsible to assist with the daily tasks related to warranty and the quoting and delivery of aftermarket orders, including services, projects, term maintenance, and other SMS related duties. This may include activities managing projects including the following:, SMS (500, 600 & 700 Series) Projects and Warranty projects:, Manage warranty claims from acceptance, setup, processing, and tracking to closure, Internal and external (Suppliers) coordination, Maintain warranty tracking log for the assigned customers, Limit cost impact of warranty claims, Review customer orders, setup projects, internal/external coordination including generation of internal documentation, Maintain project tracking log
Corrective Action Requests (CAR):, Work with intercompany team(s) tasked at addressing specific customer quality related snags, Implement and deliver services / resolution action plan arising from applicable CAR's, Submit progress reports on each action plan to senior management and the intercompany team involved in each applicable CAR. Work with internal procurement group to process shipments as needed and required to meet the corporate revenue targets. Collect, compile records, including gathering data, and prepare standard and custom reports with information necessary for decision making. Ability to exercise independent and discretionary judgment regarding confidential matters. Provide the reactivity required of a support organization, which may include working extended hours or hours outside of core business hours in order to resolve customer issues and assure customer satisfaction. Manage the 24/7 Support line. Work with VP of SMS to initiate, develop, and budget new SMS products
and services. Work with VP of SMS to propose and implement improvements to SMS
processes and tools. Develop and/or review contracts related to the acceptance and provision
of SMS projects and services. Ensure both the contract performance (cost, schedule, technical) and customer satisfaction. Schedule and coordinate internal and external resources

Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Ability to understand and interpret contract language
Strong knowledge in the use of standard Microsoft programs (Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Professional phone etiquette, organized, works independently, professional and friendly
Proactive and willing to work in a dynamic environment. "CAN DO" attitude.

B.S. degree, preferably in an area related to Engineering, or Project
Management, and 2+ years work experience in a position related to customer
service and/or project management.
