Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Support Equipment Engineer. This position will be located in San Diego, CA. The selected candidate will develop mechanical and electromechanical Peculiar Support Equipment in a dynamic environment which requires the ability to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers. Be capable of working without appreciable direction. Be accomplished at developing technical solutions to complex problems which require the use of ingenuity and creativity. Furthermore, be efficient in communicating effectively and clearly too present technical approaches and findings.
Perform data collection and analysis with regards to the identified Peculiar Support Equipment.
Design Peculiar Support Equipment:
-Create 3D Models.
-Create 2D Drawings.
-Release engineering build to print packages in Teamcenter Unified and Teamcenter Enterprise software applications.
Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs.
Possess working experience as an Engineer.
Must have 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelors' of Science degree; 7 years with a Master's degree; or 4 years with a PhD.
Possess strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to understand/produce technical drawings.
Familiarity with technical specifications.
Possess robust working knowledge of CATIA.
Experience with Teamcenter Enterprise, Teamcenter Unified, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in a similar role ideally within Military/Aerospace or similar industry.
Experience with, AutoCAD, IGES, and STEP files.
Bachelors' of Science degree, Master's degree, or PhD is required.
