Chipton Ross is seeking a Facilities Engineer 3 for an opening in Hawthorne, CA

Oversees the planning, design, reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, structures, and execution of facilities projects; gathers and reviews data concerning facility or project specifications, company or government restrictions, and construction feasibility; coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings (Microstation Familiarity is a plus); prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition; reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs; inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Assign tasks and supervise execution of wide variety of daily tasks, projects, and PM plans to ensure timely completion. Supports and understands property processes.

Knowledge: Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Understanding of the requirements of a Maintenance Management System. (Preferably familiar with the SAP Maintenance Management System.) Problem Solving: Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Support facility maintenance operations and special projects. Provide support on projects directed by intra-departmental personnel. Discretion/Latitude: Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Manage outside vendor contracts. Impact: Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Respond to audits regarding machine and equipment calibrations, preventive maintenance and certification requirements. Liaison: Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Operate the facility Help Line for maintenance repair concerns. Provide information to the Environmental Department for equipment requiring environmental emissions reporting, tune-ups and refrigerant usage. Provide and update weekly status report and ensure timely completion of all projects. Supports asset inventory, tracking of assets & possible transfer or selling of assets. Supports tracking and metal reclamation process and other property support.

The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and six years of related experience. BOC (Building Operator Certification) is a plus.

Knowledge of EMS systems is a plus; Knowledge of mechanical and machinery is a plus.
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical/electronic systems on multi-axis CNC equipment is a plus.

Knowledge of property processes in all aspects is a plus.

Knowledge of machine design is a plus.

1st Shift, 5/40

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
