Chipton Ross is seeking a Plumbing Installer for an opening in Huntington Beach, CA


SUMMARY
Guides, assists and supports co-workers and performs plumbing installation operations to mass-produce products such as galleys, closets, VCC's, E-Bay's, etc. for commercial transportation by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Promotes cooperation and positive communication with co-workers.
Studies plans and engineering drawings, to determine work aids required and sequence of installations. Installs plumbing fixtures: such as; sinks, drains, commodes, water boilers and coffeemakers. Inspects structure of production units to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of plumbing components. Locates and marks position of lines, connections and passage holes for plumbing components in walls. Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate plumbing components. Bends plumbing lines to required angles. Assembles and installs valves, fittings, and pipes composed of metals and nonmetals. Joins pipes by use of fittings and caulks joints. Suggests new or modified assemblies, to minimize waste of materials, avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable material, consistent with engineering specifications and appropriate codes. Measures, cuts, and assembles plumbing materials. Connects plumbing fixtures and equipment. Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement. Repairs any faulty equipment or systems. Picks up and trucks scrap from work areas. Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Prepares and organizes tools and parts for use in the assembly area. Requisitions stockroom parts. Works at different workstations as production needs require. Tasks vary as different units complete certain phases of production. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must have a sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements.
Must be able to work within the time constraints dictated by Driessen's agreement to customer requests.
Must know how to read and use measuring equipment such as tape measures and calipers.
Must be able to self-inspect personal work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner.
Must be able to effectively control and manipulate various pneumatic and hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, clamps, and pliers.
Must meet or exceed current training requirements.
Must be willing to be available to assist in other areas of the company, as directed by lead or supervisor.

Education and Experience requirements
High school diploma or GED Required
Minimum of twenty-four (24) months experience as a Driessen manufacturing helper or other plumbing assembly/installation experience.
