Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Technician I for an opening in Kalamazoo, MI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform incoming inspection of components and pre-printed materials
Complete inspections of packaging operations
Maintain Label Control area and print labels for packaging orders
Perform work functions within the Label Control area such as; set-up, basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment, workstation, and work area
Printer set-up and basic cleaning and maintenance (call in repair jobs, maintenance work orders)
Assist with DHR (device history record) review and release, as needed
Maintain inspection forms, records and logs
Identify deficiencies; assess those situations using risk-based approach and report non-conformance material or processes with the appropriate means
Maintain the Dock-to-Stock program for incoming materials
Maintain the 5S program in the inspector’s area
Execute attention to detail when reviewing manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Participate in continuous improvement team (Practical Process Improvement) activities and projects
Compliance with all company policies and procedures (safety, regulatory, etc.)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Solid attendance record
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
Proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
Excellent communication and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
Ability and willingness to learn basic laboratory testing procedures
Familiarity with Quality Systems Regulations 21CFR part 820
Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
ISO 13485 knowledge preferred
Read, write, and speak fluent English
Proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
Must demonstrate leadership skills, or potential

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
2nd Shift, Split Shift - Monday thru Friday 10:30am to 7:00pm with some Saturdays as needed.
