- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Logistics Engineer 3 for an opening in Dallas, TX.
Will be coding parts for repair, SlicWave is database used here and preferred but there are similar systems that would work as well; MIL-STD-1388-2B and GEIA-STD-0007 are must haves for this role. Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts. The candidate will support the Logistics Support Analysis effort, specifically executing the research and analysis necessary to enter required data elements into SlicWave, run reports using SlicWave, perform Level of Repair Analysis, submit NSN requests, and respond to customer inquiries. Candidate will research required data elements by using engineering data and Subject Matter Experts.
Strong technical background Experience with developing and delivering presentations to peers, management, and customer Experience with Logistics analysis, including spares analysis Good understanding of the Provisioning Process. - Analytical and engineering configuration management skills. Working knowledge of MIL-STD-1388-2B, MIL-HDBK-502, and MIL-PRF-49506 ; GEIA-STD-0007. Familiarity with Level of Repair Analysis. Knowledge of depot sustainment and/or repair processes and activities Ability to acquire and verify subject matter content by interviewing workers engaged in developing products, observing production methods, referring to engineering drawings, models, notes, manuals, and similar publications Candidate must be willing to work overtime and travel as needed to support program requirements Possess good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Ability to write using clear and concise language that adheres to customer-established standards and conventions Ability to quickly learn new software tools and processes Must be able to work well in a team environment Self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with very little or no direction; interacts well with others Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation Experience working in a matrix organization; ability to work with cross-functional teams
Engineering Degree Proficiency with Logistics Management Information Systems that is compliant with GEIA-STD-0007 Proficiency with SLICWave Logistics Management Information System tool Knowledge of the Army's Two Level Maintenance Concept in accordance with AR 750-1 and conducting Supportability Analysis in accordance with AR 700-127 or equivalent Military experience Experience with MLRS or HIMARS Launchers Experience leading or supporting Technical Publication validation and verification events Reliability/Maintainability engineering knowledge Safety engineering knowledge Human Factors Engineering knowledge
