Chipton-Ross is seeking a Payroll Analyst 1 for a contract opportunity in Irving, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o High school diploma & 4 years of related education, i.e.: business or accounting and/or relevant work experience.
o PAYROLL SAP experience is REQUIRED.
o Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (excel, word, and PowerPoint).
o Payroll processing experience including relevant regulatory requirements; internal policy and procedure; accounting practices; system software requirements.
o Knowledge of FLSA, federal and state laws, etc.
o Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
o Must possess a strong characteristic for attention to detail and accuracy.
o Problem-solving; organizing and prioritizing work demands to meet critical deadlines.
o Perform and understand basic payroll calculations.
o Must be able to work well in a team environment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Support weekly and biweekly Ad hoc payroll processing.
o Load supplemental pay file upon request.
o Identify and resolve errors during processing.
o Validate regression testing and coordinate thru error resolution.
o Support SAP file loads.
o Basic Ad hoc query request.
o Works closely with management in preparation for compliance audits and other projects as needed .
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Certified Payroll Professional designation (CPP).
o Prior experience working in a shared service or center of excellence environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time 5/40 workweek
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
