Chipton-Ross is seeking 20 Fabrication Specialists (Level B) for a contract opportunity in Ladson, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Manufacturing experience (assembler experience is also acceptable!)
oMust have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs machine set-up, machining, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements. Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role. Regular and predictable attendance is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc.
o Fabrication experience
HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Education must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
VARIABLE SHIFT; Contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.
