Chipton-Ross is seeking 16 A&P Mechanics for a contract opportunity in Victorville, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
1. AP Mechanic
2. Total Knowledge of the Airplane.
3. 5+ years of experience.
4. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Perform Service Bulletin installations and functional checks relating to aircraft mechanical systems. Perform system troubleshooting and maintenance tasks issued by Client or the customer. Maintain a clean and FOD free work area.
o Proficient flight deck operations all Client models.
o Proficient troubleshooting a/c systems.
o Proficient software loading.
o Meets RS requirements.
o May be asked to assist with the 787 Storage Program when we are slow or they need help. This might require some additional training.
o Training: Could be in Seattle, WA, manager will provide more details
o Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
1. Avionics
2. Structures
3. Interior
4. A&P Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Requires being on their feet for long periods of time, climbing ladders, fitting in confined spaces -35 lbs.
o Operating machinery: Scissor lift, Boom lift
o Physical requirements/indoor or outdoor work: Yes, 30%; Aircraft maintenance
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.). Education must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd SHIFT. Will be asked to work weekends.
PER CLIENT: Candidates who do not have the flexibility to work all shifts or variable shifts should not apply for this opportunity.
OT expected.
ADDITIONAL:
Contractors will need to work with the El Segundo badge office to be issued a badge.

This work assignment has been designated as "safety sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory preplacement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
