Chipton-Ross is seeking a Test Technician for a contract opportunity in Hillsboro, OR.

INCENTIVES OFFERED:
$500.00 - Paid after 30 days of being hired as a contingent worker
$500.00 - Paid at day 90/time of conversion (paid out within 30 days from being hired as a full-time regular employee). Included in offer letter

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Must maintain Clients Four-I Values.
o Must bring a can-do entrepreneurial attitude
o Ability to read detailed drawings and perform basic problem solving on electronic and mechanical assemblies at the component, sub-system and system level
o Able to follow detailed work instructions then successfully complete daily work
o Ability to analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively
o Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o Participates in warehouse material handling activities, including loading and unloading tractor trailers.
o Participates/shadows/leads on-site system un-crating and crating activities at the EM Certified facility.
o Participates/ Shadows/leads assessing returned systems and making detailed refurbishment plans.
o Participates/shadows on-site system refurbishment activities at EM Certified facility
o Provide troubleshooting and repair support within the EM Certified facility
o Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with colleagues
o Raise awareness of workflow inefficiency with EM Certified Manufacturing Engineer
o Provide appropriate input in writing updating and correcting documentation
o Perform testing using prescribed methods/work instructions
o Performs wide variety of analysis to identify and address problems
o Perform machine set-up, calibration and preventative maintenance
o Rebuild manufacturing equipment when needed to ensure operability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o At least 1 year of manufacturing/Mechanical assembly/Electronics testing required
o Previous experience using test equipment preferred.
o Previous experience with various material handling equipment preferred (pallet jacks, forklift).
o Background in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, sophisticated manufacturing processes required.
o Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement a plus
o Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs a plus (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access)
o Military Veterans encouraged to apply.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Ability to lift up to 35lbs
o Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in teams with differing cultural, language and educational backgrounds

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
o Accredited High school diploma or equivalent required
o A 2-year technical degree preferred or a combination of education and experience that demonstrate the required skills. Military Technical Training in lieu of technical degree may also be considered

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time M-F 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 40hrs, OT is possible.




Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
