Chipton-Ross is seeking a P-8A Non-Acoustic Sensor Operator located in Patuxent River, MD

Primary Location: US-US-MD-Lexington Park

The P-8A Non-Acoustic Sensor Operator (EWO) will support airborne developmental testing of hardware and software for non-acoustic systems including radar, electro-optical, infrared imaging, electronic support measures, IFF, C4I networks, mission software and tactical common data-links. The selected candidate will perform aircrew duties as a member of the P-8A Integrated Test Team with Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Zero (VX-20) at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support P-8A flight testing, including participation in technical meetings, analysis of test requirements, test plan preparation, drafting detailed test procedures, conducting or supervising data collection in flight simulators, aircraft ground and flight environments, writing daily test reports, problem/deficiency reports and tracking. Flexible work hours may be required to support test activities. Most work will be conducted on-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD; however some travel will be required.

Past or current designation as a Non-Acoustic Systems Operator (EWO) in P-3C/P-8A aircraft is required.
Candidate selected must possess a minimum of 1000 hours in P-3C/P-8A or similar aircraft.

Current or former qualification as a P-8A Non-Acoustic Systems Operator (EWO) Instructor is desired. Flight designations current within 12 months of start date of employment desired. The position will allow various combinations of education and experience using a 1 year of education for 1 year of experience substitution.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Applicant must possess extensive knowledge in the operation of airborne maritime environment Non-Acoustic Systems. Candidate must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of Navy water survival and aviation physiology training, as well as annual FAA Class II flight physical. Candidate must be able to organize, demonstrate effective oral and written communications, and operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment. Candidate must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and similar computer-based productivity applications. EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) years of related experience

A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, mathematics, physical sciences, engineering, or equivalent work related experience in Developmental Test, Operational Test, Fleet Introduction Team or Weapons and Tactics Unit is desired. Two years of systems integration and test experience with P-3C/P-8A Non-Acoustic Systems is desired.

Full-Time/First Shift
