Chipton Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Caledonia, MI.

Responsibilities: - Other duties may be assigned
o Consults with other Maintenance, Engineering and Manufacturing employees to identify and resolve all maintenance issues in a timely manner
o Ensures all issues and projects are addressed appropriately and efficiently
o Identifies and troubleshoot processes, material or equipment problems to minimize down time
o Provides process/product support to organization to address production concerns
o Performs preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, equipment improvements, equipment upgrades, and equipment installations on the factory equipment in assigned areas
o Troubleshoots, plans and performs all mechanical operations necessary to modify, dismantle, repair, overhaul and rebuild all types of machine tools, plant machinery and equipment
o Improves system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive downtimes
o Performs tooling set-up/changeovers in a timely manner according to schedule
o Ensures that maintenance coverage for production areas is provided for at all times
o Sets up and operates all types of machine tools such as mill, lathe, grinders, drill presses and other machine shop tools to duplicate, make or rework parts
o Assists with tooling set-up/changeovers
o Maintains 5S environment in work area and Tool Shop
o Follows lock out tag out procedures and all other safety rules where required
o Proactively participates in Kaizen events and creating a continuous improvement culture
o Maintains and displays strong attendance habits by being present and on time

o 3-5 years of experience supporting machine maintenance/repair in a manufacturing environment
o Strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills
o Able to wire and program new/automatic equipment
o General skills and expertise related to maintenance activities
o Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
o Great mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
o Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
o Positive teamwork and attitude required to support the manufacturing environment
o While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
o Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, and talk or hear
o Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
o Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

o Minimum of a High School Diploma
o Advanced certification level training or associates degree preferred.

Shift: Sunday-Thursday 10p-6a

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
